Slobodan
Djurdjevic, CPMBG
Over
the past 30 years, Slobodan has been a successful leader in the
housekeeping industry. Slobodan’s quest to professionalize
and to standardize housekeeping operations at a major pharmaceutical
company has earned him a nationwide recognition as well as recognition
abroad.
As
a manager responsible for servicing about 9MM square feet of manufacturing,
research, and administration facilities, with an operating budget
of more then 15MM annually, and with staffing of 200+ employees,
Slobodan has managed to drastically cut expenses while maintaining
the high quality demanded of the healthcare industry.
Through
aggressive benchmarking efforts with similar organizations throughout
the US, the best cleaning practices for total customer satisfaction
were developed. Employee productivity and an increase in area
coverage was accomplished by restructuring employee skill training,
instituting employee recognition and rewards programs, and implementing
safe work practices.
In
his most recent position as Support Function Manager, Slobodan
has provided a full range of consulting internally within several
housekeeping departments at two plants by Chicago, IL. At the
same time, Slobodan has provided his consulting assistance to
the company’s other locations including plants in Columbus,
OH, and in Puerto Rico.
Recognized
as a house resident expert in the housekeeping field, Slobodan
has been called upon several times to provide custodial consulting
expertise to the company’s major customers such as Inter
Mountain Health Care System’s McKay Dee Hospital in Woods
Cross, Utah, Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane, WA, Allina
Health System’s Abbott Northwestern Hospital, etc. Many of
the recommendations proposed by Slobodan for custodial process
improvements were implemented with excellent long term results.
Slobodan’s
professional approach to consulting was also recognized at MediSence
in Abingdon, UK. Slobodan conducted custodial process assessments
in preparation for an upcoming FDA inspection. His recommendations
to update Operating Procedures, Cleaning Tasks and Frequencies,
and to provide a comprehensive employee retraining resulted in
a very professional custodial process and a successful FDA inspection.
To
summarize, Slobodan’s trademark is his no-nonsense style
and his tireless dedication to meeting his customers’ needs.
His insight and extensive experience in the housekeeping industry
